Fourth Visit

Image
Fourth Visit 1-2 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2025   Climate Conditions: Sunny  Outside Temperature: 53°F  Length of Day from Sunrise to Sunset: 8:13AM-6:45PM, 10 hrs 32m  Organisms Present: Birds eating seed and suet, squirrels on the ground and eating seed, deer walking in the back of my area Heard (and saw) chickadees and squirrels Saw a deer while I was there.  Changes since last visit: Deer have been a bit more frequent. Shorter day duration, visited different time of day, different temperature. Construction sounds are about the same as last visit.  A deer was present while I was there, which was cool! He had very small antlers, just one spike.

Third Visit 4 pm, Sunday, October 12, 2025   Climate Conditions: Sunny  Outside Temperature: 65°F  Length of Day from Sunrise to Sunset: 7:56AM-7:06PM, 11 hrs 10m Organisms Present: Birds eating seed and suet, black and grey squirrels climbing trees and eating seed, chipmunks eating seed on ground.  Heard Chickadees and squirrels.  Changes since last visit: Deer have been a bit more frequent. Shorter day duration, visited different time of day, different weather and temperature. A bit cooler on average than last time temperature-wise. Construction sounds are significantly less than last visit, they moved more inside than outside construction. Probably why deer have increased. Coloration looks around the same in this area, if not a little less vibrant.

Experimental Design Diagram Template       State your question:  When do deer most often come by this area? Are there any patterns or inferences we can find? Research to find quality background information on things already known about the relationship between your chosen variables.  Always be thinking in terms of CLAIM, EVIDENCE, REASONING! When it is warmer out it is easier for deer to find water so they will likely not be held to a schedule, but as things begin to freeze and get colder the deer will need to adapt and find good and consistent areas to feed and drink - https://www.whitetailproperties.com/knowledge-center/major-feeding-times-for-whitetail-deer There are many variables, but white tail deer often feed Early Evening, Mid Night,  Early Morning, Late Morning and Mid Day.  https://www.whitetailhabitatsolutions.com/blog/food-plots-critical-evening-deer-feeding-pattern   Based on your own background knowledge and your research, make yo...
